29/10/09 - Consultation: Migration and Development Commission
The Ramphal Centres' Commission on Migration and Development saw its first Consultation from Thursday 29 to Friday 30 October 2009.
The event was immensely successful. The most Hon P. J. Patterson, former Prime Minister of Jamaica and Farooq Sobhan, Director of Bangladesh Enterprise Institute and former Foreign Secretary, Bangladesh were both present in their respective capacity as Chair and Commissioner.
The Ramphal centres' Commission on Migration and Development was discussed at length by many representatives from leading organisations and Commonwealth countries, over the course of two days in the beautiful setting of the University of Warwicks' Scarman House, Training and Conference Centre.
